Welcome The purpose of this website is to provide information about the Neurologic Exam, demonstrations of how to perform different sections, and information about interpretation of exam elements related to neurologic problem solving. Each section of the exam will include (1) a segment of a lecture given to Year 2 medical students by Dr. Jayne Ward; (2) demonstration of Dr. Christopher Glisson performing the exam elements on a normal volunteer subject; and (3) video clips illustrating abnormalities. The introduction tab at left includes text and video segments of the beginning and ending parts of Dr. Ward's lecture, to "set the stage" for the sections, and to provide a "wrap-up" related to the concept of localization of lesions and neurological problem solving. You will need the QuickTime plug-in to play the videos of the demonstration and the abnormal examples. [if you don't see the video window with play button and other controls, download the free QuickTime plug-in from http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/]. It is recommended that you use Internet Explorer as the browser for this website.
