Cranial Nerves: Exam Demonstration Funduscopic exam (CN 2) The retina and optic nerve head (origin of optic nerve) are examined through the ophthalmoscope to inspect for papilledema and other abnormalities. See the separate video for an explanation of how to conduct the funduscopic exam.
